This 2 1/2 hour workshop will guide you through early childhood nutrition, including:

Babies & Weaning

• Where to start and what to avoid
• Tastes and textures
• The essential nutrients
• Common infant feeding and digestion problems
• Food safety
• Cookery tips
• Allergies

First Birthday - Key changes at 12 months including

• Coarser textures and finger food
• Maintaining a balanced diet
• Establishing a menu of what they need now
• Food shopping
• Tips on fussiness

The Toddlers Years

• Making mealtime fun
• Encouraging new foods
• Healthy snacks
• The gentle art of persuasion and the fussy eater

The workshop aims to be as interactive as possible with group work and dedicated Q&A time to answer any specific questions you may have. Each attendee will receive the course notes, food safety guides and recourse lists.

Paula is currently on the board of Consumer Foods in Bord Bia. Paula was one of the presenters of RTE TV's Health Squad programme which ran from 2002 to 2006. She makes regular appearances on TV and radio programmes advising on nutrition and health issues.
